This excellent reference book is a companion to Roger Freemans 'Airfields of the Eighth' and his definitive reference on the Eighth Air Force in WW2, 'The Mighty Eighth'. Airfields of Ninth is a well-produced and informative book with many excellent photos, maps and plans.

A follow on publication to the excellent Airfields of the 8th The book is well written, concise and user friendly. I found it not quite as good as other After The Battle books but still a very good read. The Airfield descriptions are good but lack the detail found in other volumes.
