I'm only using this with a single MIDI device, a Roland EXR-3, and this works fine with Windows 10 using the Windows driver. I have also used one of these with earlier Windows XP and Vista. I cannot say how it would work with a MIDI hub or chain of MIDI devices. If it meets the MIDI standard, which it seems to do, it should be no problem. As stated in the review title, this is a good, cheap MIDI interface, so nothing not to like.

This product doesn't work in all midi environments and I haven't found one that makes it work. I was hoping to play an external sound module form a keyboard controller that is hosted through my PC using either a music notation program or my DAW. My controller has no midi out to it, just USB to the PC, so I couldn't test the device that way. I ended up buying a Roland USB midi interface which does work very well. It wasn't that much more expensive than this device that really doesn't work. If want your Midi to work, spend a bit more money and buy a good product.

Contrary to what people report on forums, you won't need an expensive USB-MIDI set. This cheap one functions very well. I use Syssexer under Linux to transfer DX7 sysex files to my Korg Volca FM. Works perfectly!

Just connect the cables to the USB port on the laptop (drivers automatically download) and the MIDI ends to the instrument (in my case a keyboard) and you're away. You may need to select it as the default device in your music program. It is well made with the cables being long enough for most applications.

Tried using it as a additional midi port. Could not make it work, so gave up and daisy chained all my keyboards off of my audio interface. Don't waste your time with this, save up £40 for a decent midi box.
