A Brilliant coproduction between DIC Audiovisuel (France) and TMS Entertainment (Japan). A fantastic series, just right at 26 Episodes , with engaging storylines based loosely on Greek myths ( with more than a passing nod to Homer’s “The Iliad“ & “The Odyssey” A colourful animation style with clean crisp lines on the character design make this a classic IMHO. Thank you

I used to rush home every week back in the 1980s to see this when it was on TV. Having seen it come out on DVD about 2 years ago here in the UK, I bought the box set. Expecting it to be like Battle of the Planets i.e. loads of the same animation frames stuck together and repeated every episode, I watched it with an open mind. And WOW! I was not disappointed in the least. The animation is still as good as I remember it and the stories just as far out. Uylsses, Telemicus, No-No (the red little robot) and Umi are a brilliant team that battle through the Kingdom of the Old Gods of Olympus, using their wit, skills and honesty as weapons to fight back from the deception of the Gods and their peoples. Looking for a way to restore their crew's life and find a way back from Olympus, they journey through the most amazing of places and meet some of the most strange Gods and their servants. Highly recommended if you have never seen it, and if you have... You still will not be disappointed.Read full review
I watched this originally back in the 1990's on the TV and did get to see it all. When I saw this on eBAY I couldn't resist it. Having watched it all the way through, I found it to be still as entertaining as it was 20 years ago. Based on the epic saga of Ulysses's trek back home after the fall of Troy, this tale is given the Futuististic Space Adventure twist in the tale. An excellent animated version of a well known Greek Legend and well worth the time spent watching it.
