A great natural moisturiser that works. More sustainable than petroleum based emollients and in my experience more effective and economical. I find it keeps my eczema at bay with far less applications than other dry skin treatments I've tried. It's great stuff and I can't recommend it enough. Any drawbacks? Well, some may not like the smell - unrefined shea butter does have an slightly nutty type of odour, but personally I find it quite pleasant and it in any case it doesn't linger long after use. You can get refined shea butter that would have less odour but for me I see no need for any extra processing, It's great as it comes. It's solid at room temperature so needs to warm up a bit to sink into your skin well, a little bit of rubbing in your hands before applying does the trick. This shea butter from The Soapery seems to be the real deal and is great value too. I will be back for more.Read full review

Would not want to use as massage oil as it has the natural castor oil smell, not nice , but if you don’t mind that it is excellent value. But very good for what I wanted, which was to mix up a solution to put down mole hills, try and get rid of them.

What an amazing find! Who'd have thought caster oil could be so useful? A bit glupey, but mixed 50 / 50 with coconut oil and a few drips of lavender it makes a lovely cream to take to swimming with me. I put a little on my hair, especially at the back, which saves it from the chlorine and also use it on my body afterwards - especially my feet which have never been so soft. Fantastic.

I have to be very careful when it comes to putting moisturizing products on my daughter's skin because she has has reactions to many different creams. But this is wonderful, I have used it on both our faces and it gives spectacular results, such soft replenished skin. I just get a little and warm in by rubbing it between my two hands then it's ready to go. Also I have been using it on myself. I put it on at night and my skin feels incredibly soft the next day. I was so impressed that I bought a second batch because it's a really wonderful product, best moisturiser I have ever used. I bought some unrefined shea butter last year but this is a much better quality than the previous one and exceptional value for money. I would rate this as a 10 out of 10.

The quality is really good, my skin is happy :-). The smell is as expected of unrefined shea butter. It looks hard, but easily melts by the body warmth. I use sometimes for my legs, but mainly for my hands because of eczema (perfectly relieves itching) and allergies to cold (always in my bag in winter) and it is non-replaceable. Also, it helps magically with the burns (I am not selling it (LOL), I am just sharing my experience). If you put some on a fresh burn (I do not mean a burn grade 3, I mean casual kitchen incidents, common sense has not been cancelled), it relieves pain and redness almost immediately. Same with the light sunburns (not when someone is already medium-roasted).
