LumaFix
I have a64C model and a Commodore 1701 monitor wiht dedacated leads for the pure screen display, so having set this devi9ce up I am so well impressed with it, no more lines on the screen. This is a total must have for any Commodre user. It does NOT work on the C128 BUT work is in progress on another model to fix this for the C128. The PCB board is a great piece of work no shody job with this, very professional I have to say. And the quality of the PCB components are a good quality no rubbish. You will not be sorry for this does the per4fect job of LumaFix problems, I have also trued in on a HDMI TV 19 inch screen and yes it works perfectly so if you do not have a Commodore dedicated monitor but a TV HDMI or other wise then this little job will do the trick no more lines all that is needed is to mess with 3 small screws and you can see the screen geting better all the time, but hey do not worry as when you first install the device the screen looks terrible, but thats OK as you of course need to alter the 3 screws to get the best screen display. So please fully expect that when first installed. A little bit of patience and away you go. A perfect screen display. Makes a very clean S-video image.
It certainly does work as advertised and I'm pleased with the picture on an S-input TV. My only negative is the lack of information about a followup heat sink on the VIC chip after the original cover or metal shield is removed. That chip will eventually self-destruct if not cooled with the proper heat sink. I might gamble on the latest C64 board (250469) VIC that doesn't run as hot as all earlier ones with a 6567 (NTSC) VIC. As a repair tech, no Lumafix upgrade will leave my shop without an adequate sink on that IC. I fabricate them myself and each board requires a different type. If the board has a shield, I notch it out around the new module and attach my own sink. Early boards with a metal cover are easier to implement a heat sink.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Well worth the money
Video output on grandpa C64 looks better than ever with the LumaFix64. I'm using it with C64 connected via S-Video output to a HDMI encoder, the picture used to be not that good before, but now I'm quite satisfied. If your VIC is already in an IC socket, the installation is really a no-brainer. The only hard part was fiddling with the 3 miniature trim pots while watching picture changes. One thing to think about - if your VIC is cooled only by the lid of metal cage surrounding it, you should buy a C64 heatsink kit as well, because the "IC socket+LumaFix64+VIC"-sandwich won't fit under the metal cage lid.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

You don't want to miss this smart little piece, when you're on a quest for the best picture-quality the C64 can deliver. Reduces the 'vertical lines' issue very well. This thing is absolutely awesome!. The picture quality from the c64 on my 1080p HD TV was absolutely terrible. But after i installed this, Wow. I cant believe how much of a massive improvement it is. Id say its a close as you can get to emulator quality picture on a real c64. To anyone who plays using a modern lcd screen tv id highly recommend you buy one of these. Quick fix for composite out
This little thing fixed my vertical stripes in the composite output. Leaving me with a picture I could only dream of when my machine was new. I was unable to eliminate the chequered pattern on the S-video out however.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Massively Improved Display on LCD TVs,
