Soft pads wear out quickly, but harder pads last longer but eat your discs...since its a pain to replace a disc, maybe softer cheaper pads are the answer. In terms of quality, (longevity) ask me in 5 years as rear pads last forever as 75% of braking hits the front of the car. However, the very cool thing about these pads is their integral anti-squeal shims...this means that the piston heads hold the pads as they slide so stopping them touching the disc. Rear brake systems wear so slowly they are usually replaced because of corrosion and pitting on the disc, rather than actual wear..overall..good plan
