Really amazing film. Extremely well done; well acted, the pacing is perfect, the cinematography is outstanding, the sets, costumes and locations are outstanding. The way violence is portrayed is uncomfortable, brutal, realistic, and cold, and it happens for a reason. Has a mythological setting and story, and is heavily connected to those things. Not a film for people who want to watch cartoon characters do kung fu and shout at each other for 2 hours.

Scenary good. Where was it suposed to take place, was it Scandinavia or Scotland, and where did they sail to? How did the main character lose an eye, why is he mute. He dies willingly at the end. What? What was the point of anything in the film?
this is one of the most boring films I have ever watched very little action very little talking don't waste your money
There are numerous things that I did not like about Valhalla Rising. The first is that you meet a one-eyed warrior. How he came to have just one eye is a mystery. He is also a mute so he cannot speak. How he became a mute is also a mystery. The film is also divide into Chapters which spoils it. I think I got to Chapter 3 and then I switched it off. I waited too long for action that was not forthcoming. Poor!
