Seems to be good quality, sturdy lantern. Not so bright but ok, do the job. The fact you can recharge the lantern on car or 240 it makes this product very good. And even solar or manual. And included car adaptor and 240, that's even great.

Cons - Not very bright, I wouldn't want to try and read with it. Pros - Very solidly built. No battery costs. If everything else has run out, this can be wound up.

Reasons for purchasing: Vango is a well known name, plenty different methods to charge the lamp. Handle and incorporated hanger. Lightweight. I chose this because I wanted a known name as it is an electrical product and primarily for use in the car tent garage. Also for emergency use in the cottage when the power goes out. Perfect for the job and also perfect for keeping in the car for emergency use. Could have bought unbranded cheaper but not worth the risk especially in a tent and I am really pleased I chose this. Very versatile product and I would highly recommend this lamp.

It's well made. Good materials. It balances well. Charges in good time. I'm not fond of LED light but finding rechargeable alternative is difficult. I'm looking to put a home made filter round the ;lamp cage to soften the light.

A superb company to deal with and really great camping lanterns. Put them out in the sun when away from home and let the sun charge them. At home just plug them in. If on that rare occasion they go flat just crank the handle a few times to get you by. 2 lighting levels These are great for both camping and back garden
