this dispels the myth that folk music is the bastion of bearded argle jumper wearing pipe smoking yogurt weavers. it is twee to say the least but is a minor classic of lost folk in the same lines as folk roots new routes the seminal album by davy graham. my personal tastes lie in the 70's and i am a big fan of punk etc but i must admit to liking folk music (something i would never have admitted to in 1977) the album is light and airy with some fantastic tracks blended skillfully into a compilation of real substance , if you like folk music this will titilate and amuse
Folk-music with a juvenile slant - has harmonies with kid's 70's tv, with essence of dark side thrown into the mix. Made this particular listener drive with a lopsided inane grin! Think the theme-tune for the gallery from "Vision On", "Baba Popa" and other similar (possibly) drug-fuelled viewing..... if you were born between '65 and '73, you'll probably love it.
Very quirky enjoyable cd
