What a fantastic series, great for educating your children all about the three stages in time when dinosaurs roamed our world, Fantastic computor gen graphics, at times it seeems as though the dinosaurs are actually in your living room, The main series is by far the best as there lots of different dinosaurs, wonderful backing music and great commentry. A faultless production, well done to the BBC the spent our TV licence money well for a change. Big Al is a fantastic special series, although it seemed as though Big Al's developement/aging process was a little rushed at times, we loved him as a character but it seemed as though the producers couldn't wait to finish the story, if only they slowed down and showed us a little more detail of Big Als life, we were so sad to see his dimise, we want to see him suceed on occasions. "The gaint claw" and "The land of the gaints" is spoilt completely with the use of Nigel martin, he thinks he's a modern day David bellamy, but he's so boring, it would of been a great film without him and his stupid cameraman involved, if you can forget his stupid voice & smug ugly face, both of the films are well worth watching, although as you can tell he/Nigel really got on our nerves. Oh if only it was possible to edit him out. I remember he also spoilt the TV series, but for thre life of me I can remeber the name of it.Read full review
WOW!!!!!!!!.I am soo pleased that i got this series as i missed it when it was on tv the first time around. Its not as good as walking with dinosaurs but it was always going to be a tall order to beat that series.I watched it all in one go (including the two making of programes)and i never knew so many wired and wonderful beasts even lived.A real eye opener and fun and educational at the same time.it just seemed to short to me but a series well worth getting.I only hope that they can get around to a remake but have other beasts that were not in the series.A gem of a dvd to own too with the other two in the series and makes the past 220 million years seem not so long but it all fits as well.YOU MUST GET ALL THREE IN THREE DVD'S IN THE SERIES AS TO MAKE IT ALL WORTH WHILE.All in all a dvd set worth getting 10/10 NO 11/10.FROM BENTEN 6572Read full review
