I must confess that I did not buy this gator for the normal hiking purpose, I turn them upside down and use them over my wellies to stop the dirt and sand going into my wellies on my building site. This works really well for me and stops me from having to take my boots off every now ad then!

an excellent solution for keeping your trouser bottoms clean if you wear walking boots not wellies. Lightweight, waterproof and thorn proof, plus a good price. I bought a pair for myself, they were so good that I bought some for my daughter as well,, we love them. You hardly know you have got them on.

A very affordable piece of kit for when a change of gear is needed, surprised at how good they are for the money and will get plenty of use from them.

Young Vader was not fond of sand. Well, I hate Mud. Through a combination of Boots, Socks, Puttees and Gaiters one can improve one's Hiking experience. This pair of Gaiters is light, tough, adjustable and comfortable. I recommend carrying them when camping (They roll into the same size as a pair of socks).

It's been a bit damp in the southern UK lately. I have an extraordinary good raincoat, but the water runs off it and soaks ones lower legs. So I bought these to keep the water from soaking my trousers. I only wear them casually walking to the pub or shops, and they are very effective. I'm never going fell walking so can't say how robust they will be in that environment, but for me, at the price, perfectly brilliant.
