  • Evocative and enjoyable

What a thoroughly enjoyable book. A journey through the seasons in a Somerset village. I did read it with a wildlife ID book beside me so I could remind myself of some of the species that were spoken of, but this isn’t really essential. The language used is gently descriptive and evocative of both the time and place. Highly recommended.
