This was advertised as a R8217 Trakmat when it was, in fact a Minimat from a train set and had been cleverly repackaged in a Trakmat pack. Didn't find out until it was too late to return it..

The mat is made of paper and can easily rip. You need an appropriate base for it - it wouldn't be any good on carpet for example. OK for a starter but I wouldn't buy another one

Ideal for a novice setting up their first model railway layout . Shows exactly what goes where and what track to use . Should be rolled rather than folded though !
Verified purchase: Yes | Condition: Pre-owned
This looks nothing like the picture it is a folded Mat that looks cheap. I was expecting at least a rolled up Matt made of some kind of felt or something. Don't waste your money

Picture is fine, shame the folds spoil the look, when its folded so hard the paper/picture gets damaged... would be better rolled..
