Another great album from YLT. This is generally more quietly reflective in its stylings compared to some of their albums where they cover a multitude of styles (Heart beating as one / I am not afraid of you...). Great 60s pop in Shades of Blue. Brilliant indie in For You Too. Georgia's voice sounds amazing on Ashes. There are also quite a few instrumentals and songs with samples at the beginning. If you are new to Yo La Tengo then this is a very good album. Prisoners Of Love (3 disc version) gives you a great overview of their amazingly varied work so far. Or unconditionally recommend to the albums by them... I Can hear the heart beating as one And then nothing turned itself inside out Painful
