weak and banal. A formulaic film that wastes the considerable talent of two good actors. I think I smiled twice during the entire film. I couldn't connect with the main characters and simply didn't care what happened to them in the end. This could have been so much more but turned out to be the normal churned out hollywood fluff. Ghandi would be rolling in his garve!!!!.
Worth it

Killer comedy from director John Dahl about Frank, a low-level hitman working for his uncle's low-level gang in Buffalo, New York. Trouble is, Frank has a major drink problem and sometimes falls asleep on the job. So uncle sends him to San Francisco to clean up his act with the local A.A. Frank does his best - and at least manages to fall in love - but when an upstart Irish gang starts getting heavy in Buffalo, Frank has to return home to face old rivals on new terms. Terrific comedy-thriller stars Ben Kingsley and Tea Leoni.
Just some of the best writing I've heard in a film, draws you into liking what should be a bad person. The part where our BadGuy stands up for the first time in a AA meeting and declairs that "drinking is stopping him being a good killer" is out there. For thoses that love movies, this is a must
