Are you looking for a small, handy, lightweight & good value chainsaw? Look no further! Having seen many battery powered chainsaws that appear to be good value at first sight, then only to find the battery or batteries & charger are extras, adding upto £150 to the price. I'd almost given up and resigned myself to using a bowsaw for those one off cut jobs. Well this chainsaw changed that. Since getting it, it's pretty much lived in the car charged and ready. The plastic body does appear delicate but has stood up well to bouncing around in the car and several bumps whilst cutting up trees. The chain certainly dosen't have the power of either a petrol or corded chainsaw and you must let it cut at it's own rate. It's very quiet, making little more sound than a toy, which is very handy in built up areas or where sound could be a disadvantage. The battery isn't too powerfull, however I managed to get nearly 30 cuts through an aged oak tree about 5"(125mm) dia, which provided me with plenty of wood to throw in my Land Rover. The charge time isn't too quick but back home I turn to either my petrol or corded electric chainsaw. I would definatly recommend this if you want a light, handy, quiet chainsaw for that opportunistic wood gathering. If you want a chainsaw for constant heavy use...look elsewhere choose a petrol version. Read full review

After reading all the good reviews I went ahead an bought this. Anything about 6 inch and under your quicker using a hand saw. And for anything above it this just won't cut it. It has very little power. Very disappointed not to mention could buy a petrol chainsaw for around the same price that could actually do its job.

A useful saw for small tree pruning in the garden. Light in weight it will cut up to about a 5 inch diameter branch. Very easy to use. The battery is easily and quickly removed and plugged in making it safe to use by removing the battery when not cutting, a very good safety feature. The battery looses much of its capacity in cold weather, below about 5 C.

Ok, it's not fast, but it does the job. I bought it because I have a wood burner, and sometimes the logs you buy need cutting down. Also where I live theres a lot of free storm damage tree boughs that can be had. As long as you let the saw do the work, dont force it, and accept you'll get around 40 minutes cutting on a full charge it's great. I feel quite safe using it and it's the ideal hobbyists saw. With logs around £75 for a cubic metre this little saw will soon pay for itself.

Arrived promptly and easy to assemble. Fairly lightweight with slowish chain speed, good for pruning and cutting firewood but for not suited to substantial jobs.Does not have chain break or kickback protection although there is a hand guard.I purchase it as a backup for a heavy petrol saw and serves this purpose satisfactorily.
