    The first switch turned on but not off. I contacted the seller who sent a replacement, saying dispose of the faulty one. When the new one arrived, I gave the old one a few hard tugs on the string and it eventually switched off. After that it operated easily. I realised I had a use for the second which worked fine. I therefore arranged to pay the seller for it so the seller would not loose out. All communications were friendly. An excellent result.
