    Many of our pieces are Berber pieces from Morocco, a culture influenced by the Phoenicians, the Greeks and Romans and Goths. The music and dance of the region is powerful and the weaving (a woman's art) and the jewelry are widely admired. Tiznit, the birthplace of our founder is a main Berber area. The Tashelheit area in the south of Morocco, is where many people still speak only Berber. This is a center for Moroccan Berber Ethiopian Yemeni jewelry.

    The seller was very gracious and was mailed quickly, unfortunately I do not believe that her supplier was genuine in telling her the aluminum ring is 100 years old. It is newly made and not an antique. The genuine ones do not have sharp machine edges like these repros. I have another with the identical markings, seams & size so they definitely cannot be handmade. It is colored to make it appear older. The description should say reproduction and then it would be no big deal.
