Hi! My name's Michelle Brigandage and due to being very lucky i.e I was the right age and in the right place - London - I was privileged to see the Sex Pistols, The Clash and all the great punk bands from 1976 onwards. This life changing experience turned my career plans around and I went to art school to do fashion. In the end I left because I wanted to be Vivienne Westwood and I couldn't be so I decided to form a band... and Brigandage was born...
My involvement with the anarchist punk scene has been a continual theme in my work - to combine Sex, Fun and Revolution and to make fairly priced quality clothes... Everything is dyed and hand-printed and sometimes sewn in my studio.
