Hi, and Welcome to Carpetes! We started this store to share our passion with the public for beautiful, genuine hand-knotted rugs and carpets at an affordable price point. All of our rugs are have a history, some dating back in to the mid 1800's, and come from all over the world. These rugs and carpets are a great choice for those seeking a Eco-friendly alternative to petroleum-based Polyethylene throw- away carpets. The materials used are all natural wool, cotton and silk, and most of the dyes are derived from natural vegetable and mineral based pigments. We professionally wash all of our rugs and they arrive ready to lay down. Own a bit of history that can last for generations!
