Initially I was not impressed with this 1878CC. An experienced dealer felt it was much closer to AU than MS. When I told him the price I paid and that the seller has a very generous return policy, we agreed that it was 50/50 keep or return. I have never returned coin and purchased 100s on ebay. As I was leaving, he said it was a nice coin--60/40 keep. And now I am appreciating the beauty of this toned masterpiece-just took awhile. Nice price and good packaging.
