About us

Community Computers is a community project based in Stockport that refurbishes unwanted technology from the business community and makes it available to local residents in Manchester and Stockport that are on a low-income. Everything purchased from us goes directly to charity and helps support our project.

We are partnered with a Microsoft Authorised Refurbisher, meaning that all our devices are fully licensed with genuine Microsoft software. All devices go through a multi point testing schedule and are fully wiped using leading data destruction methods.

I had an issue with the modem - the laptop I received had the 4G modem rather than the 5G one as advertised - so I messaged the seller and, even on a bank holiday, the communication was practically instant, gave me options on how I wanted to proceed and I chose the partial refund which they processed very quickly.
