About us

First and foremost; in spite of the name and the logo, I am not really a store; except on E-bay. You see, I started collecting cookbooks at 19. At first, they were just books that interested me, so I bought from a book club, sometimes second hand shops, etc. Just a few. But after graduation, and working for a while, I was given a cookbook that was old, and ended up being valuable. From that point on, I was hooked on collecting. I never was focused just on the value, however. I had to feel an interest, or some sort of connection to the book. And up until this spring, I still collected. For about 40 years in total. But I am 72 now, and It is time to find good homes for my friends. So I have decided to sell the bulk of my collection, which is just over 500 books. I have lots of first editions, a number of signed books, and some that can be considered rare. I also have books that are just FUN, and/or interesting. I hope you will look, and adopt the ones that interest you too.
