  This is a genuine Alexandrite. I cleaned it up a because it still had a thin layer of mica on it. I couldn’t get all of the mica off though but believe it will rub off over time because mica is soft. I have bought 3 other stones from this seller a few years ago from his Etsy shop. This crystal is the largest and has the best color change. He does indeed have the best prices because I have looked at a lot of other sellers who charge way more money for much smaller crystals.

  I am absolutely delighted with the stone. It is perfect and completely formed. Thank you. All three Alexandrites are amazing and I love the colour. It is in a matrix, and; I wondered if you knew what stone is in the matrix? I have many years as a collector and just wondered if the matrix is a different stone. I have no experience with this stone. The grounding is the strongest I have felt from such a small stone. I plan to set it in rose gold and wear it often. Thank you.
