Fibrous has been supplying crematoria, cemeteries and the funeral industry for over 70 years. Founded in Cheshire in 1944, the business has been built on sourcing, developing and supplying quality products to local authorities, private cemeteries and crematoria and funeral directors throughout the United Kingdom.
In April 2015, Fibrous was acquired by Rowland Brothers Trade Ltd, the commercial arm of pioneering South London firm of funeral directors Rowland Brothers Ltd. Founded in 1873, Rowland Brothers is still owned and managed by the Rowland family and now includes Rowland Brothers International Ltd, specialists in world-wide repatriations; Rowland Brothers Exhumations, offering full range of exhumation and cemetery rationalisation services; and, Golden Leaves Ltd, a leading provider of pre-paid funeral plans.
