  Seller was really helpful and patient with me when asking lots of questions on custom sizing. Item is exactly as described, solid good quality wood. Packaged really well and posted quickly. I would definitely recommend. My only wish was for the instructions to be more dummy proof, it is very very straight forward to assemble but my husband is awful at DIY still got it wrong so we have slight gaps but this is our fault. Would be really good if there was an option to have primed for an extra fee.

  Thanks for the glowing report, I think ...lol ...I am a sole trader of 69 years young still earning a crust as best I can .... but I don,t do painting, sorry ... these are sold as DIY items for customers own preference of finish ... there shouldnt be any gaps ?

  Excellent service, super quick delivery, and really pleased with the product and end result. Excellent price. I’ve been thinking about it for a while, seller was helpful, and now it’s installed and painted I’m really happy with it! (Only feedback would be that a bit more packaging maybe required - mine arrived looking quite bashed, a small dent in the wood once unpacked but fortunately not too obvious so decided to just live with it, maybe some padding to avoid knocks might help)

  Incredibly happy with our fire surround. It is delivered in three pieces needing assembly and the seller is open about the fact that it is made out of a slightly rustic pine, but if you’re willing to self-assemble and do a tiny bit of sanding and caulking/filling then this is an amazing option vs other custom size surrounds which seemed to be more than twice the price. We had a minor issue with the custom measurements but the seller was very quick to respond and resolve which was great.

  Hmmm, the Pine is sanded down to a fine enough finish finish for painting, staining etc.... if a knot has come loose in transport then some filling may be needed but is highly unlikely as the timber is graded as kiln dried ! ...As customer says I did have to sort out a discrepancy with the size of one of the pieces ....my apologies for that
