Seeing my inspiration transformed into these beautiful handcrafted carpets is always a proud moment for me, and one I want to share with you.
I am a rug and carpet maker in my fourth generation, which is based in Uttar Pradesh's Bhadohi District. My great-grandfather founded this company in 1955, and we carried on his legacy. This is a skill I learned from my father.
My father taught us and the weavers how to dye, weave, clean, finish, wash, and pack a finished rug. We created our own designs and started implementing them. We worked together late at night or until it was finished. We completed a handmade tufted rug in 15 to 20 days.
Glaring Textiles is more than just a business; it's a way of life for thousands of artisans. Both men and women in my company employ rural weavers, and their families rely entirely on their weaving skills. Weaving is merely a source of income for their families; local customers do not pay a fair price for our products.

I will state that the seller was very communicative about the issues with this order, but only after I reached out to them twice. On 11/8 I reached out to get the tracking # and eta they promised a 3-4 turn time. They did not keep that promise. Nine days later on 11/17 I reached back out to them and am now told they can not process the order and for me to go through the process of canceling. The order was placed on 10/25. Not happy.
