Seller must be honest because the reference to "damaged outer box" was irrelevant. There was no outer box, the cartridge is mounted in a retail blister pack which is cosmetically a little bit creased. I've received a lot worse supposed to be new and perfect. Obviously highly delighted and with ebay voucher I paid less than half the Amazon price.
