Operating from premises in Central London, Luke has had over twenty five years experience working for major auction houses and art consultancies in London, New York and the United States, including Phillips, Phillips de Pury & Luxembourg, Bloomsbury Auctions, Seymour’s Art Advisors and Bonhams. Luke is also well known to many collectors as a leading specialist in antique chess sets, backgammon boards, antique games and natural history, and directed and catalogued regular chess auctions for Phillips, Bonhams, Freeman's, and Bloomsbury Auctions. Luke is a member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Art and Antiques Division), a trustee of the Frederick Parker Chair Collection, a Freeman of the City of London, a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers and a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Art Scholars. He has written numerous articles (Spectator Coffee House, The Gourmand Journal and Homes & Antiques), lectured and appeared on both radio and television.
