Contacted the seller, who immediately asked me to return it, then processed a full refund as soon as it had been received. Excellent customer service - just a shame about the product... although given it was sealed, there is no way they could have known it was faulty. (Apparently a dead battery is very common with APs that have been for quite a while without charging.)
