About us

'Matt Wade the Banana king' was a name given to my great grandfather back in the 1920s. He was the first of my family to really inspire the people of Preston (Lancashire) with quality fruit. He had shops in and around Preston but his heart was in his 'banana stall' on Preston Market. A large proportion of the people of Preston used to buy their bananas from him, hence 'The Banana king'.

Our company has evolved over the years which has included a unique on-line shop offering the people of Preston quality fruit and vegetables. We now aim to offer this service of fresh fruit and vegetables to the whole of mainland Britain.

Throughout the years we have kept the traditions of quality and service, and the 'banana stall' on Preston Market which still serves the people of Preston their fruit.
