About us
Merry Go Round Community Ventures CIC was originally set up to raise funds for local primary schools by selling high quality, low-cost preloved children’s goods, to reduce waste, encourage re-use and reduce the environmental impact of children’s goods. We also provide a free community space for other community groups to use, and a place where people can gather and socialise.
As the cost-of-living crisis developed last year, so did our mission! Our community room became a designated warm space, and we adapted our office to house a large community fridge and larder to help alleviate food poverty.
Our purpose is to invest in, support, and improve the mental & physical wellbeing of our local community, whilst raising funds for schools to enhance the children of our community’s education.
