My story:

When I set up Model Enthusiasts in 2004 the idea was to find out what people with a Mamod engine needed to get their engine running as it should.

You see, in those early days many people had little idea where to buy the parts needed and also how to find out what to do if the engine did not work properly.

We began by selling mostly Drive Bands for Traction Engines and Steam Rollers and a few other items like for example, Flywheels, Whistles, and Safety Valves.

Quite soon, I had uploaded to eBay a large number of brand new spares which then dominated the market owing to the amount we stocked and the competitive pricing.

Eventually, I had developed enough technical knowledge and skills that enabled a new repair and renovation arm to be added.

Sadly, we are now too busy to offer that service, but instead have been able to vastly increase the number of Mamod spares that we have available. We are now the world's biggest seller of Mamod brand new spares and parts.
