    We are a husband and wife team operating from our custom built studio at the end of the garden. I (Jules) have been sewing all of my life, my mum & aunties taught me all they knew & I went to college to study soft furnishings too. Steve (hubby) took early retirement & I've retrained him he is now a top notch embroiderer!

    The concept of My Comfy Kid was conceived many years ago when my own daughters were small. I wanted to create coordinating bean bags, cushions and bedding for my four small daughters so they each had their own space...not easy when space is an issue! They each chose their own fabrics for their soft furnishings, they loved helping to create their special area! Theirs were under high sleepers, which made a magical space teamed with fairy lights, rugs & throws.

    I have a background in education and found a chillout zone in the classroom really helped children particularly when they were feeling stressed or anxious.
