About us
Nomads Wales was established in 1992, inspired by travels overland to Australia via Europe, Afghanistan, India, Nepal, Thailand and Indonesia in 1972. For many years after my travels, I made a living making and selling handmade clothing at local markets and festivals, including Glastonbury' starting in 1979 and Womad Festivals, and many others after then. I couldn't keep up with demand for my handmade products, whilst also bringing up a growing family, so in 1990 I decided to go back to India and Nepal to source clothes, handicrafts and other interesting artifacts from beautiful places.
