Quality of service becomes apparent when something goes wrong. I ordered a folding ladder with a platform. The platform doesn't increase the size of the box required and the manufacturers economise by using identical boxes for the versions with and without the platform. I was sent the folding ladder without the platform. The supplier asked for photographs to show that the platform was missing but then offered to take the ladder back and refund the cost as they were out of stock at the warehouse.
