As a small human, I loved nothing more than wandering around cute little gift shops. I liked the variety and 'quirkiness' of what I would find, as well as the bright colours and smells associated with these types of stores. What I always found challenging, however, was finding balloons/gifts that weren't cliche and suited me as an individual.

Around Christmas 2022, I was asked to make a 'stuffed' balloon for a Christmas present for my wife's nieces and nephew. Essentially, the brief was 'wanting to gift money, but needs to look exciting for children'. As a graphic designer with 15 years' experience, I felt that I was more than creative enough to take up this challenge so threw myself into the challenge. When I delivered my creations, I was completely blown away by the positive reaction they received. I even picked up two additional commissions from other people who were in the room at that time. I was literally buzzing about how happy I'd made people, and knew I'd found my calling.
