I have bought and sold many times on Ebay and never had an issue with my address - and it has never been changed. I contacted the seller several days ago through the proper Ebay channel to ask them to confirm what the issue was, they haven't bothered to reply. The only good thing is they have at least given me a refund - so one star for that.
