Robert Clive was Market Drayton's most successful export. As a boy; a pest. ne'er do well. ruffian. His father an impoverished lawyer, scraped the money to buy him a cadetship in the East India Company - Robert could cause trouble and die abroad.- Fifteen years later he returned to Shropshire, alive, immensely rich, and bought six seats in Parliament. My ebay shop is run from M Dr. I classify items I sell as Victorian 1840-1914. Vintage 1915-1960 . Modern 1961 onwards (V.few) I still sell a lot of Vintage Cigarette cards, but nowadays l enjoy the huge variety of paper items engraved Victorian Billheads & receipts showing their Factories, Medals won, Products made, Litho A5 "Grocers Bills" equivalent of todays 'Till Receipts'. I sell & collect decorative & colourful items Greetings cards, Valentines,,Die Cut Scraps, Reward Cards, Empire Days. Stereoviews, Luggage labels, Vintage cinema, Bookmarks, Silk Pictures In short - I try to sell attractive & interesting Paper items.
