  I should of emailed the seller for clarification on this item. Yes, it has an i5 chip but it was a 4th gen Intel CPU. I needed an i5 5th gen CPU. The description stated "Inspiron 15 7547 7548 i5" and the listing did not indicate the Generation. It does function as described so I am happy for the item as I needed it fast. The price was great. I'll have to double check the specs closer next time. Overall, a good deal. And I received it sooner than expected.
