💥💥Fun facts about the owners💥💥
We are the Smithburg’s 👋🏻
We have been providing automotive services in Fairfield, IA since the 1920's. Starting with Everett wrenching, owning/operating Standard Stations, and creating the Smithburg Automotive Brand. Then his only son Dennis worked in various different auto services, including being a ford master tech at in Phoenix, AZ, while having a career in INDY car that included working on the 1969 Mario Andretti INDY 500 winning car, and was a legendary shop teacher at Fairfield for decades. Then his first son David has grown Smithburg Automotive from a one door shop into a small automotive empire.
Our most recent expansion was the addition of a salvage yard. In December of 2024 we took over Smith Auto Parts in Fairfield, and now operate under the name, Smitty's Auto Recycling. This is why this store will mainly be used auto parts. Thank you for visiting our store!
