About us

Opening in 1963, Southend Samaritans has been supporting the community from Shoeburyness to Benfleet and the surrounding areas, for 60 years. We have around 100 volunteers some having been with us for more than 40 years.

We have a charity shop at 38 Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff, which is fully supported and run by volunteers, and hope to open another in Leigh on Sea shortly. Our shops raise funds to enable our branch to remain open so we can continue to support our callers and those in the local community.
