About us

The Talon story begins in 1972 when George Sartin, who had a background in aircraft engineering, established a small engineering shop. A time served precision engineer, George produced small engineering jobs. Looking for an opportunity to expand and with a passion for Grass Track, George formed a lifelong bond with the Grass track legend Lew Coffin who tasks George with producing a quality Grass Track hub. This friendship and collaboration formed the foundations for what is now Talon Engineering Ltd, a small but mighty engineering company with a huge passion that has built a global brand.
Known predominantly for the quality of our hub range and expertly laced wheels, we also manufacture our own design of alloy and steel off/on-road sprockets. Each sprocket is precision engineered to maintain standards of flatness, concentricity and tolerance.
