About us
I have been a collector for over 60 years, starting when I was a boy with toys such as Lone Star trains, Dinky & Corgi vehicles and Britain's cowboys & indians. Graduating to railway modelling, over the years I stuck with N Gauge – a lead on from Lone Star – but also got heavily into Z gauge, dabbled in 2mm finescale, and have recently started in OO9 too. In my 20s I discovered old picture postcards, which lead to a 30 year career as a dealer but now I'm just a collector. This led onto another 30 year career in railway and industrial history publishing, during which time I have assembled a massive related collection of Victorian photographs, colour slides, books, tickets and much other ephemera. Although now an OAP (how did that happen!) retirement is still some years away but the time has come to start drastically thinning out so I have opened this online shop to start a process, which will take several years.
