About us

Whitaker Werks is a one man operation based on a farm in Higginsville Missouri. All my pipes are made from briarwood and no other, most stems are ebonite or acrylic. The ebonite is easier on a person's teeth than acrylic and so is used more often. As I stated in all my adds, I'm retired now and enjoying making pipes and offering them to the world. Ray

    I’ve just received the pipe and smoked it for the first time. Wow! First off, it was shipped immediately, well packed, and with a much appreciated note. The pipe is beautiful. You can see the care that went into it. The seller described minor flaws in the stem that I really can’t even see. It smokes cool, and really well. Great draw and no break-in issues.     Incredible chunk of briar! Packed tight priced right and on time! Ray knows what he is doin'! This pipe was made an absolute stout piece of briar. The stem is very comfortable, must be the excellent piece of marbled ebonite, and the Egyptian art around the bowl is stunning! It's even more Incredible than the pics and the price is unbelievable!

    The pipe arrived in good shape and as advertised. I am an Army Vet. and appreciate the Army logo on the pipe. The pipe reminds me in many ways of the pipe General McArther is pictured smoking from WW2 photos. Nice touch! I smoked the pipe's first bowl of tobacco and it smokes very well, a nice smoke indeed!
