    Simply Speakers was founded in May, 1992 in a small shop in St. Petersburg, Florida.

    We developed an easy to install speaker edge repair kit and trademarked the name "New-Edge-It ®". We sold our repair kits through classified advertisements in Stereo Review and Audio magazines. We were early adopters of the internet and added a website in 1995 and included eCommerce functionality by 1997.

    In 2005, we added a line of replacement diaphragms, recone kits and accessories for speaker repair and trademarked the name "SS Audio ®" in 2013.
    We developed a series of popular how-to videos dedicated to speaker repair, and continue that work by adding more content every year.

    In 2016 we started a transition into a primarily speaker parts and repair kit distribution model, with a smaller focus on repairs.

    Since our humble origins in 1992, our attention to detail and great customer service have allowed us to grow year after year.

    Tom from Simply Speakers was great. Unfortunately I never received the speaker handles that I ordered. They were sent out but never arrived past the Orlando Seminole county distribution center. That’s where the tracking seemed to get stuck. Every day the tracking said arriving late. I ordered on 09/02 and they made it to 09/09 and seemed to be stuck at that point. Tom was terrific as he tried many times to reach out for me but ultimately gave me a refund. I really needed these handles.
