My name is Karen. Welcome and thank you for visiting Yarning Girl. I am totally addicted to knitting and crocheting and have been for years. I taught myself to knit when I was in high school and later taught myself how to crochet.
I live by the beautiful shores of West Michigan. You just can't beat the amazing beaches here. Which brings me to the word 'Yarning' in my store name; this has an interesting origin. When my grandchildren were 3-4 years old, they would come in and sew me knitting or crocheting (which is pretty much all the time), and they would always say, 'Grandma, are you yarning?' Of course this struck such a cord in me that it melted my heart, and I just had to use it in my store name. (They're too darn cute)
