Good build quality and a great addition to the kitchen!
The Insinkerator 56 is a great domestic unit and possibly for use in a small commercial kitchen environment, it only has a single stage grinding system so don't put fibrous materials in it (Banana Skins, Celery, etc) as it will cause the waste pipe to block.
We used this to replace a customer’s older Model 55 (15 Years good service) and I have to say it's so much quieter and with the addition of the Air Switch it negates the chance of wet hands coming into contact with the electrical power source.
Because we were replacing an old unit the whole fitting process only took 30 minutes, but if you are installing from scratch and with modifying existing waste pipes then we would allow a couple of hours to be on the safe side. NOTE: On a new installation you will need a qualified electrician to provide you with a power source under the sink.
If this lasts as long as the customer’s previous model it will represent great value for money.
Pros:
Easy to Install
Quite to Operate
Generally a good build quality
Value for Money
Cons:
Only one point here - The quality of the Waste T Pipe isn't as good as the one's on the older models (That's not to say that it’s not usable because it is) but we used the pipe from the customer’s old unit because it just looked better - Job Done!

A great tool for the Kitchen
1 of 1 found this helpful This is a professional quality Potato Ricer, it makes light work of ricing any root vegetable and others. I use this for not only ricing potato's but carrots, swede, turnips, parsnips, sweet potato's, butternut squash and many others.
It makes light work of preparing and applying toppings for dishes like Cottage/Shepard's or Fish Pie and it's just great for plain mashed veg; the big advantage being the end result is light and airy compared to mashing with a standard mashing tool.
The soft rubber handle inserts make it easy on the hands when applying pressure during the ricing process. Another great advantage of this ricer over others I have tried is that it is very easy to take apart for cleaning and just as easy to reassemble afterwards.
Sit back and enjoy producing perfect Riced Vegetables anytime.

Light and easy to assemble!
1 of 1 found this helpful I found that this unit was absolutely spot on for what I needed, it's light and very easy to assemble. I had the whole unit together in 1.5 Hrs and boy has it tidied up a corner where I had boxes piled up.
One word of WARNING, the manufacture instructs you to wear GLOVES to assemble, please do so, it's easy to trap skin as you lock the bars in place.
