Hydraulic ram with double acting pump
I bought this for my workshop crane build.
It works as it should, and has been completely reliable for the short period of time I have been using it.
The main advantage over the other rams on the market is that it is rated at 8 tons where many are only 3 tons. However, the best reason for having this ram over others is that the pump is double acting. There are actually two pumps, one for the upstroke of the handle and one for the downstroke. This means that the ram can be pumped up in half the number of strokes and is less jerky in its progress.
The only downside has been the release screw doesn't fit with the handle very well. The pin in the release screw is a little short and so tends to slip out of the handle slot. I replace it with a proper release lever permanently fitted to the end of the screw. This also means the handle can be left in place for delicate up and down adjustments of the load.
I am now looking at buying a second one of these rams, not that I have a need, but too good a deal to pass up for a future need.

A great multi driving screwdriver
I bought one of these as a portable tool kit driver to save having several tools. It has proven to be so effective as a professional and usable tool I bought a second for my main tool kit.
The extending and removable shaft is hugely useful and can be replace with quick release drills for pilot holes and countersinking. I have replace some of the driver bits for torx bits in popular sizes and can swap the selection depending on the rang and type of task I am planning for.
The only downside is the shaft release collar can be a little stiff to get at for fat cold fingers and two hands are then needed.
However, that aside I think it is a wonderfully useful tool set in its own right.

A multidrive screwdriver.
