The First X Lens you Absolutely Need
1 of 1 found this helpful Reviews are everywhere but in short, it's sharp throughout, great contrast and colour, light and the OIS works a treat. Replaces the 18, 27, 35, 56 (yes!) and 60 Macro for all general, non-macro photography where you don't require the shallower DoF offered by the primes. A tremendously versatile and quality lens.

Best lens for the X System.
Fast, quiet, small, sharp, bright, beautifully built and very affordable. Perfect FL for everyday use.. Mount it, shoot it, leave it on. This lens is my favourite prime, even against the 56/1.2.

Looks the part, but.. beware...
Threads are very, very poor. Only a quarter turn clockwise and the darn thing was stuck stock-tight to the front of lens housing to the point where any firm anti-clockwise turning to remove it would have also damaged the front housing of the lens. Managed to remove again with appropriate tools and a lot of patience but unless you aim to remove this hood for using lens mounted filters, I’d not use this. You get what you pay for.
